Special guest speaker Vjeko Sager performs demo for Collab

Oct. 18th Vjeko brought in a few new works from a series entitled; "365".
Each work was 6" X 5". Ink on gesso on wood.
Here is the recipe for the Gesso mix;

Skin bone glue (rabbit or fish is best) is made by cooking animals (gelatin)
Calcium Carbonate (white powder chalk)
Recipe:
Dissolve 50 to 70 grams of glue (powder) in 1 liter of water by slowly heating the water. Best is to have a “double boiler pot”, because water should never boil. It should be kept up to 60 degrees Celsius. When all glue is dissolved, pour it into the CaCO3 (calcium carbonate) and stir until desired consistency. Apply gesso with knife, brush or spatula. Sand, polish or make textures while is still wet.
